4. Position the blades front-to-rear (Fig. 70). Measure at
C and D locations (Fig. 70) from a level surface to the
cutting edge of the blades (Fig. 71).
5. Check the side-to-side leveling of the cutting unit.
6. Tighten the jam nuts (Fig. 72).
Checking the Deck
Side-to-Side Leveling
1. Check the tire pressure on both deck and traction unit.
2. Position the blades side-to-side (Fig. 73). Measure at A
and B locations (Fig. 73) from a level surface to the
cutting edge of blade tips (Fig. 74).
3. The difference between measurements A and B should
be no more than 1/4 inch (6 mm).

Changing the Side-to-Side
Leveling
Changing the side–to–side leveling is done by adjusting
tire pressure.
Changing the Side–to–Side Leveling with
Tire Pressure
1. Change the tire pressure on both deck and traction
unit. Do this to the corresponding side that needs
adjustment.
2. Recheck the front-to-rear pitch and side to side
leveling of the cutting unit.
Matching the Height of Cut
1. Check the tire pressure on both deck and traction unit.
2. Set the height-of-cut to the 4 inch (101.6 mm) position
following the height-of-cut decal.
3. With the machine on level surface, position one blade
front-to-rear (Fig. 75). Measure at A and from level
surface to the cutting edge of the blade tips (Fig. 75).
4. The measurement should be 4 inch (101.6 mm).
