6. Dismantling
1. Remove magnetic key from remote throttle (Cruise R)/tiller (Cruise T) and switch off
motorcompletelybypressing„on/off”buttononthedisplay.Setthebatterymain
switch to the off or neutral position.
2. Unplug connection between motor, cable set, and remote throttle (Cruise R)/ tiller
(Cruise T).
3. Unhinge the motor and place it on a flat surface.
• Thepylonmaybehot.
• Makesurethemotorisdrybeforeyoustoreit.
• Ensureyoudonotbendthecablearoundsharpedges.
7. Storage and care instructions
7.1 Corrosion protection
Materials were chosen with a high level of corrosion-resistance. Most of the materials
used in the Cruise are, as with most leisure maritime products, classed as “seawater
resistant”,not“seawater-proof”.
• Afteruse,youshouldalwaystakethemotoroutofthewater.
You can do this using the tilt mechanism of the transom bracket.
• Afteruseinsaltorbrackishwaterrinsethemotorwithfreshwater.
• Onlystorethemotorinadrycondition.
• Treat all electronic parts with contact spray once a month.
