Required Reprogramming of
Tracer AdaptiView Controls
Reprogramming Retrofit Tracer
AdaptiView Controls (CVR Firmware)
Important:
• For a chiller retrofitted with an AFDH drive to operate
correctly and efficiently, it is critical that the actual
specific nameplate data values for the chiller be
entered in the UC800 menu parameters listed in the
table below (i.e. motor data and compressor impeller
data). If the unit nameplate is missing, unreadable, or
of a vintage that did not include all of the required data
categories, contact Trane Global Parts Technical
Services. To contact them, send a message to
ATechnicalService@trane.com. Provide the chiller
serial number and request a copy of the shipped-with
bill of materials for this unit.
• Make sure your laptop is loaded with the most current
version of Tracer® TU tool software so that you have
the most up-to-date version of CVR MP firmware
available to install into the UC800.
Note: CVR MP firmware is always used in the UC800 on
Tracer® AdaptiView™ control systems or display
upgrades that were retrofitted in place of all earlier
versions of chiller controllers with only one specific
exception: factory-installed CH530 controls.
Factory-installed CH530 control systems used CTV
MP firmware so the new Tracer® AdaptiView™
controls will also use CTV MP firmware.
