The firmware is upgraded as follows.
C ONTENT OF CHANGES :
 Corrective measures for the system error (CF248).
System error CF248 may appear when printing the data from AS400. Thus, this is corrected.
 Corrective measures for the wrong display: “Memory overflow”.
After printing, "Memory overflow" may be indicated and the machine may lock up while the memory LED blinks. Thus, this is corrected.

 Corrective measures for the print failure with a certain file.
The two-dimensional barcode may not be printed out with the certain file. Thus, this is corrected.

 Improving the performance.
Performance to directly print a certain PDF data is improved.
 Change in the internal processing.
(No changed content affected to the machine already installed in field.)

 Improvement of the PCL5E performance.
Logic is changed for suitable font selection while a lot of unnecessary fonts were previously selected by PCL5.

 Prevention of the Prescribe mode entry with a certain file.
If the character codes are aligned in the order of ”33”, “82”, and “33” in decimal (!R!) in the PCL5 data, Prescribe mode is unintentionally
entered and no data is printed after that. Thus, this is corrected.
 Corrective measures for the failure when printing a certain Excel file with PCL driver.
This is corrected because the data may not be partly printed when printing the certain Excel file with CL driver.

 Corrective measures for the barcode print failure.
The space width is narrow when printing the OCR-A font using the PCL Barcode Flash. Thus, this is corrected.

 Corrective measures for the print speed when repeating overlay print using the macro data.
This is corrected because the print speed may gradually slow by repeating the overlay print using the macro data.
 Corrective measures for the wrong character print when outputting from Linux system.
This is corrected to print all characters correctly when outputting from Linux system.

 Corrective measures for the wrong operation of monochrome macro immediately after sending color macro data.
This is corrected because the blank page may be printed when sending monochrome macro data immediately after sending color macro
data.

 Corrective measures for the machine lock-up when using a certain application.
This is corrected because the data may become the processing state and not be output when using a certain application.
 Corrective measures for the undesired image from Mac.
Undesired image may be printed when outputting the certain data from Mac illustrator. Thus, this is corrected.
(The horizontal lines may partially appear in the shaded image with screens in the illustration).

 Corrective measures for the system error F183/F46F under a certain operating environment.
This is corrected to prevent the system error F183 and F46F appearing under the certain operating environment.

 Improvement of PDF data performance.
This is corrected to quicken output of a certain PDF data.
 Corrective measures for the print failure when directly printing a certain PDF data.
This is corrected to correctly draw the font when directly printing a certain PDF file.

 Improving the performance when outputting the data from Mac.
This is corrected to quicken output when printing a certain PowerPoint2007 data from Mac.

 Corrective measures for the font rotation failure with a certain PCL data.
This is corrected because the font rotated 90 degree to the wrong direction may be printed when outputting a certain PCL data.
