socket”
♦ Use new bolts
70 Nm
♦ Initially tighten diagonally to 10 Nm.

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332-
Removing
– Remove drive shaft on right side ⇒ page 80 .
– Loosen all bolts on bearing bracket -arrows-.
– Pull intermediate shaft off gearbox.
Repairing intermediate shaft ⇒ page 114 .
Installing
– First renew seal -1- on gearbox.
