6 Structure and function
6.1 Application
Use the machine only as intended, see chapter Safety, Proper use.
IRFU GV
The machine is protected from damage of the formworks by the rubber seal cap
(GV).
6.2 Functionality
Principle
The machine is an internal vibrator which creates high-frequency vibrations in
the vibrator head.
Concrete is deaerated and compressed in the effective range of the vibrator
head when the vibrator head is immersed into the fresh concrete.
The fresh concrete is simultaneously cooling the vibrator head.
Note: The concrete is being compressed for as long as bubbles of air arise.
Bodyguard
®
The Bodyguard
®
connects the power supply with the inverter and monitors the
incoming and outgoing operating currents. The Bodyguard
®
is designed to pro-
tect the user against electrocution.
If the machine is correctly connected and if there are no dangerous leakage cur-
rents, the control lamp lights green.
If there is a leakage current within the machine, the control lamp lights red. In this
case the electric power supply from the mains is interrupted and the inverter is
inhibited. The machine does not work. The power supply will remain interrupted
until the fault has been corrected.
Note: The machine works only in combination with the Bodyguard
®
.
Thermal overload switch
The machine is protected against overheating. In the case of overheating, the
machine will automatically be deactivated.
