Passive and Active Cooling Cards
Alveo™ cards are available in both acve and passive cooling conguraons, as shown in the
following gures. The passive cooling card is designed to be installed into a data center server,
where controlled air ow provides direct cooling. The acve cooling card is designed to be
installed into a PC environment where the air ow is uncontrolled; consequently, this
conguraon includes a heat sink and fan enclosure cover to provide appropriate cooling.
For card specicaons, dimensions, list of card features, and block diagram see Alveo U200 and
U250 Data Center Accelerator Cards Data Sheet (DS962) and Alveo U280 Data Center Accelerator
Cards Data Sheet (DS963).
