SNMP(SimpleNetworkManagementProtocol)isthemostpopularnetworkmanagement

protocolatpresent.Withthisprotocol,alldevicesinthenetworkcanbemanagedbya

networkmanagementserver.

SNMPappliesthemanagementmodeofserver/clientend.Theback-endnetwork

managementserverservesastheSNMPserver.Thefront-endnetworkdeviceservesas

theSNMPclient.ThefrontendandbackendshareoneMIBmanagementdatabaseand

communicatewitheachotherthroughtheSNMPprotocol.
