Mode selection and device number:
The first indoor station in each unit is set up as "Master mode" under "Mode
selection". The device number of the physical address is then automatically "01" and
cannot be set.
Each further indoor station within a unit is set up as "Master mode" under
"Subsidiary mode". The device number of the physical address is then
correspondingly counted upward from "02" and entered for each further indoor
station. The building number and the units number of the physical address are then
automatically "01" and cannot be set.

“Fundamentals of structured cabling“ on page 7.
The mode selection for the Guard unit is not possible.
Floor number and unit number of the physical address.
The four-digit unit number in the display consists of two parts. The floor number (first
two digits) and the units number (last two digits).
The indoor station IP Touch 7 or Guard unit is addressed.
Do not switch the indoor station IP Touch 7 or Guard unit off or separate it from the other
devices.
