To remove and replace the hard disk drive
Use this procedure to remove and replace the hard disk drive. When necessary, refer to other
removal procedures. The graphics in this chapter are representative of the oscilloscope at the
time of this printing. Your unit may look different.

Disconnect the power cable and remove the top sleeve.
2 Remove the CD-ROM and hard drive cables from the cable clamps.

3 Remove the two Torx T20 screws holding the shock mount in place (see See Figure 6-
25).
You may need to use a Torx key to loosen the screws.
When re-assembling, torque the screws to 18 in-lb.

Tilt the disk drive assembly forward and lift up to remove.
CAUTION DO NOT LET THE DISK DRIVE FALL!
Support the drive while removing the screws so that the drive does not fall.

Remove the four Torx T10 screws holding the disk drive onto the shock mount.
