Combitherm® CT PROformance™ and CT Classic™ Series Technical Service Manual
Troubleshooting
PROformance and Classic Gas: No Combustion On A Call For Heat (ovens manufactured before
7/12/2019)
• All GAS troubleshooting trees based on a 7-20 120V 1PH model running at “ECO” power setting unless otherwise noted.
• The gas pressure to the appliance should be tested first to ensure that the connected pressure falls between the minimum/maximum
pressures called out in the installation manual for the appliance.
Is the combustion blower running?
Yes No
Replace
the
rectifier.
No
If this appliance
is 208/240V, is
there line voltage
entering and 120V
AC leaving the
rectifier?
Is 120V power supplied to the
combustion blower at its main
power connector?
No
Determine which leg of power is missing and
correct:
• L1 is supplied from terminalblock33-4
• L2/N is supplied from terminal12 of
the N7 high limit(reset the high limit
if is tripped) which is supplied from
terminalblock27-8
Yes
Yes
Is there 6-12 VDC across the
brown/black wires at the speed
cableof the combustion blower?
No
Test the speed cablefor continuity at each
wire. Replace and/or repair as needed.
Yes
Is the combustion blower
running?
No
Make sure the combustion blower motor is
free of obstruction. Replace the faulty motor
as needed.
Yes
Is the hall eect sensor of the
combustion blower sensing
motor rotation on white/black
wires on the speed cable?
No
Test the hall eect sensor wires for
continuity. Replace and/or repair the wiring
as needed.
Yes
Is there 120V across terminals 12 and 4 on the ignition
control?
No
Determine which leg of power is missing and
correct.
• Terminal12 is L1 and is supplied from
terminalblock33-2.
• Terminal4 is L2/N and is supplied from
terminal12 of the N7 high limit(reset
high limit if tripped) which is supplied
from terminalblock27-8.
Yes
Is there 120V across terminals 10 and 4 on the ignition
control?
No
Determine which leg of power is missing and
correct.
• Terminal4 is L1 and is supplied from
Control Board(CB) terminalX02pin2.
• Terminal4 is L2/N and is supplied from
terminal12 of the N7 high limit(reset
high limit if tripped) which is supplied
from terminalblock27-8.
Yes
Does the cold Ohm resistance read within the proper
range on igniter?
IG-36336: 8-15 Ohms
