E53 = Single/Upper Fan Motor High Limit / E54 = Lower Fan Motor High Limit
Is the fan spinning?
No
Yes
Is the motor high-limit wiring to the Variable
Frequency Drive(VFD) secure?
No
Secure the wiring and retest.
Yes
Is there continuity between the motor and the
thermal protection switch?
No
Replace the motor.
Yes
The root cause of overheating must be determined -
call Alto-Shaam Service for assistance.
Is the motor wiring to the Variable Frequency Drive(VFD) secure?
No
Secure the wiring.

Is the fan wheel damaged?
Yes
Replace the fan wheel.
