Position the vehicle on the centre stand.

★ Remove the footboard mat (1).
◆
Unscrew and remove the two fastening
screws (2) of the bag hook.
◆
Remove the bag hook (3).
◆
Unscrew and remove the screw (4).
◆
Remove the front cover, see p. 53 (RE-
MOVING THE FRONT COVER).

★ Unscrew and remove the screw (5).
◆
★ Unscrew and remove the screw (6).
◆
★ Unscrew and remove the screws (7).
◆
★ Unscrew and remove the screw (8)
and take the relevant washer.
aCAUTION
Proceed with care.
Do not damage the tangs and/or their
seats.
Handle the plastic and painted compo-
nents with care and avoid scraping or
damaging them.
◆
Withdraw and remove the front inner
shield by rotating it toward the saddle.
aCAUTION
Upon reassembly, fit the tangs correctly
in the appropriate seats.

Adjust the idling every time it is irregular.
To carry out this operation, proceed as fol-
lows:

Ride for a few miles until reaching the
normal running temperature, see p. 17
(Coolant temperature indicator “
h”),
then stop the engine.

Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
◆
Remove the left inspection cover, see
p. 52 (REMOVING THE RIGHT AND
LEFT INSPECTION COVERS).
◆
Connect an electronic revolution counter
to the spark plug cable.
◆
Start the engine.
