SECTION 3 - START UP
General
To be sure that start up goes smoothly, it is important that the items in the Start Up Check List,
provided in this section, be positively satisfied. It is also important that the operator
understand how to operate the compressor in a safe and efficient manner, prior to start up.

CAUTION
BEFORE STARTING A NEW COMPRESSOR, OR AFTER
RELOCATING OR REAPPLYING A COMPRESSOR, OR AFTER
MAJOR OVERHAUL, BE SURE TO COMPLETE AND CHECK
OFF ALL THE ITEMS ON THE START UP CHECK LIST IN THIS
SECTION. THIS LIST IS DESIGNED TO MAXIMIZE SAFETY IN
STARTING AND OPERATING THE COMPRESSOR.

FOR SAFE OPERATION, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START-UP
THE UNIT WITHOUT BEING COMPLETELY
KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN
THIS SECTION. IT IS ALSO ESSENTIAL TO REFER TO THE
PACKAGER’S OPERATING MANUAL.
