Procedure
Step Action
1 Run the compressor until warm.
Stop the compressor.
Close the air outlet valve.
Switch off the voltage.
Wait a few minutes.
Depressurize by unscrewing plug only one turn to permit any pressure in the system to
escape.
2 Loosen vent plugs on top of the oil coolers.
3 Drain the oil by removing the drain plugs.
Plugs are fitted on the:
• Air receiver / Oil separator with drain point
• Oil stop valve
• Check valve
• Gearbox
• Oil coolers of air-cooled compressors
• Oil filter housing
Tighten the plugs after draining.
4 Remove filler plug.
Fill the air receiver / oil separator with oil until the level reaches the filler opening.
Refit and tighten plug.
Tighten the vent plug of the oil cooler.
5 Disconnect the air inlet hose from the inlet bend.
Pour 10 liter of oil into the compressor stage.
Reinstall the air inlet hose.
6 Run the compressor loaded for a few minutes to allow the oil cooler by-pass valve to
open.
Stop the compressor.
Wait a few minutes.
7 Depressurize the system by unscrewing plug only one turn to permit any pressure in the
system to escape.
Remove the plug.
Fill the air receiver / oil separator with oil until the level reaches the filler opening.
Tighten the filler plug.
