4 Errors / Faults
4.1 Status Indicator
Several monitoring and protection functions are
used to establish whether the equipment is opera-
ting correctly. The status of the equipment is exter-
nalised in two ways:
visually by means of 4 LED’s on the front panel
of the equipment
electrically via the standby outputs. In this way
the current status of the power drive is reported
to the superordinate control unit (e.g. PLC).
The table indicates the possible statuses of the
equipment and the respective consequences for the
equipment outputs. The following section contains
notes on how to rectify faults quickly.
CAUTION
Depending on the type of fault there
will be no current at the motor output.
The stopping torque of the motor then
falls to zero.
