The steering wheel can be adjusted in
four directions, which are simulated
by the adjusting lever movements.
aAdjusting the position of the
steering column while the car is being
driven represents an accident risk.c

Automatic steering wheel
adjustment*
(only on cars with seat, mirror and
steering wheel position memory)
To simplify entering and leaving the
driver's seat, the steering moves auto-
matically to its uppermost position
when:
d the ignition key is turned to posi-
tion 0
d the ignition key is in position 1 and
the driver's door is opened
d the ignition key is in position 2, the
handbrake is applied and the
driver's door is opened.
The steering wheel returns to the driv-
ing (memorised) position when:
d the ignition key is in position 2 and
the handbrake is released with the
driver's door open
d the ignition key is in position 2, the
handbrake is applied and the
driver's door is closed.
