Install screws 2.
Position battery cover 1.
Push the battery cover 1 in
arrow direction with pressure
from above; the detent must
snap in audibly.
Check the battery cover 1 for
firm fit.
Snap in the side trim panel 1
with the detents.
Install screw 2.
BATTERY
General notes
Correct maintenance combined
with proper charging and stor-
age procedures extends the
12 V battery's service life, and
is also required for warranty
claims.
Compliance with the points
below is important in order to
maximize the 12 V battery life:
Keep the surface of the bat-
tery clean and dry.
Be sure to read and com-
ply with the instructions for
charging the battery on the
following pages.
Do not turn the battery upside
down.
Recharging function
If the state of charge of the
12 V battery falls below
a defined threshold value,
the recharging function is
activated. The 12 V battery is
then recharged by the high-
voltage battery via the DC/
DC converter. This ensures a
sufficient state of charge of the
12 V battery.
