Risk of damage to parts if vehicle

On level ground, always turn
the handlebars to the left to set

If the camber of the roadway
permits, turn the handlebars all
the way to the left.
Push the ignition key 1 into
the steering lock and turn to
the LOCK position, moving the
handlebars slightly as you do
this.
Ignition, lights and all function
circuits are switched off.
Handlebars are locked.
Vehicle key can be removed.
Switching on ignition
Insert the ignition key 1 into
the ignition steering lock and
turn it to the ON position.
Side light, low-beam head-
light and all function circuits
are switched on.
Engine can be started.
