Troubleshooting chart

Engine does not start at all or is very difficult to start

Possible cause Remedy

Emergency ON/OFF switch activated. Emergency ON/OFF switch in operating posi-

tion.

Side stand extended and gear engaged. Retract side stand ( 62).

Gear engaged and clutch not operated Place transmission in neutral or disengage

clutch( 62).

Clutch disengaged with ignition switched off. Switch on ignition first, then disengage clutch.

No fuel in tank. Refueling ( 76)

Battery not adequately charged. Charging connected battery ( 117)
