Remove the seat ( 94).
ATTENTION
Battery not disconnected in
accordance with correct pro-
cedure
Risk of short-circuit
Always proceed in compliance
with the specified disconnec-
tion sequence.
First disconnect negative bat-
tery cable 1.
Then disconnect positive bat-
tery cable 2.
Connecting battery to
motorcycle
First connect positive battery
cable 2.
Then connect negative battery
cable 1.
Install the seat ( 94).
Removing battery
Remove the seat ( 94).
Disconnecting battery from
motorcycle ( 182).
Remove screws 1.
Disengage holder 2 from
bracket 3 and remove.
Lift battery 4 up and out; work
it slightly back and forth if it is
difficult to remove.
Installing battery
NOTICE
If the vehicle has been discon-
nected from the battery for a sig-
nificant time, the current date will
have to be entered in the instru-
ment cluster to guarantee correct
operation of the service display.
