FCC Compliance Statement
For United States Users
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. On
the bottom side of this equipment is a label that contains, among other information, a product identifier in
the format US:JUBBR01AEX-440C (for EX-440C) or US:JUBBR01AEX-1280C (for EX-1280C). If requested,
this number must be provided to the telephone company. The information associated with the services the
equipment is to be connected are REN: 0.1A, Jack type: RJ-11C.
The REN is useful to determine the number of devices that you may connect to your telephone line and still
have all of those devices ring when your telephone number is called. In most, but not all areas, the sum of
RENs of all devices connected to one line should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices
that you may connect to your line line, you may want to contact your local telephone company to determine
the maximum REN for your calling area. For products approved after July 23, 2001, the REN for this product is
part of the product identifier that has the format US:JUBBR01AEX-440C (for EX-440C) or US:JUBBR01AEX-
1280C (for EX-1280C). The digits represented by 01A are the REN without a decimal point (e.g., 01A is a REN
of 0.1A). For earlier products, the REN is separately shown on the label.
A plug and jack used to connect this equipment to the premises wiring and telephone network must comply
with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. A compliant telephone cord
and modular plug is provided with this product. It is designed to be connected to a compatible modular jack
that is also compliant. See installation instructions for details.
This equipment may not be used on coin service provided by the telephone company. Connection to party
lines is subject to state taris.
Should this equipment cause harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may discontinue your
service temporarily. If possible they will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may
be required. But if advance notice isn’t practical, the telephone company will notify you as soon as possible.
You will be informed of your right to file a complaint with the FCC. The telephone company may make
changes in its facilities, equipment, operations or procedures that could aect the proper functioning of your
equipment. If they do, you will be notified in advance to give you an opportunity to maintain uninterrupted
telephone service.

Address: 100 The Mountain Rd., Framingham, MA, 01701 U.S.A.

in the AC outlet to which this equipment is connected. Telephone companies report that electrical surges,
typically lightning transients, are very destructive to customer terminal equipment connected to AC power
sources and that this is a major nationwide problem.
If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation of
this equipment Model EX-440C or EX-1280C does not disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions
about what will disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer.
