7 Removing Main Components
WARNING!
Disconnect the AC mains supply before opening the Clearway 2
case
Observe ESD handling precautions
Removing and Replacing the Internal Battery
Switch off the Clearway 2 and disconnect the AC mains supply.
To remove the battery, unscrew the 3 fixing screws on the battery door at the
rear of the device as shown in the diagram below. Slide the door outwards to
reveal the internal battery.
Carefully pull the battery out of its slot and disconnect the electrical connector.
To replace the battery, join the electrical connector on the battery to the
connector inside the battery slot. Push the battery into the battery slot and
push the battery cover into place. Secure the battery cover with three fixing
screws (M4 x 8 countersunk).
