2. UPDATING THE OS
There are two ways to update the OS.
• Updating the OS from a SD card
• Updating the OS through a network site (FTP server or HTTP server)
2-1. Checking the Version
Select “Settings” → “About tablet”, and check the “Build number”.
The OS version is represented with a 5-digit number
enclosed with a red frame.
Example:

2-2. Updating Method
Select “Settings” → “About tablet” → “System Update”.
TIPS: Even if the model is V-R7100, the model No. shows “V-R7000”.
Updating the OS from an SD card
(1) Prepare an OS image fi le to be updated.
TIPS: Defi nition of the OS image fi le name is as follows:
V-R7000_OS version to be updated_from_OS version of the main unit.ota
NOTE: Do not change the fi le name.
(2) Create a “V-R7000Update” folder in the root directory of the SD card and copy the OS image fi le
to the folder.
TIPS: Multiple OS image fi les with different versions can be stored in the same
“V-R7000Update” folder. During updating, the OS image fi le with an appropriate version
is automatically chosen.
NOTE: Do not store the OS image fi le with the same OS version of the main unit in the fi le
name.
NOTE: Even if the model is V
-R7100, created a “V-R7000Update” folder.
