valve

brake

pipe
or
bose
connection
at
wheel.

Attaeb
a
bleeder
hooc
to
the
bleeder
valve
at
this
point
(fig. 58)
and
place
the free end
of
the
bleeder
hose
in
a
clean
container
having
su/fricot
Huid
to
cover
cod
of
hooe.
Keep
the
cod
of
this booc covered
with
fluid
at
all
times "
during
this operation.
5.
With
a wn:oeb,
open
bleeder
valve
by
turning
~
tum
in
a
counler-dockwise
direction.
6. Slowly depress
the
brake
pedal
by
hand
to
approximately
the
halfway
point,
tben
let
the
pedal
return
slowly
to
the
release position.
Repeat
this
procedure
several
times,
keeping
the
cod
or
the
booc
submerged
in
brake
Huid until
the
Huid expelled from
the
bleeder
booc is
free
of
air
bubbles.
7. Close
bleeder
valve
tightly
by
turning
clockwise
witb
wrench
as
soon as
bubbles
stop
and
Huid
Hows
in
a solid
stream.
8.
Remove
bleeder! hose
and
install
bleeder
valve
screw
in
bleeder
valve.
9.
Add
ncw
fluid
to
the
main
cylinder,
and
repeat
the
operation
on
the
other
whccb
in
tum.
HYDRAULIC BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
To
compensate
for ljning wear, which
is
evidenced
by
excessive pedal travel, a
minor
adjustment
can
be
made
to
36
reduce
the
clc:arancc between the
brake
lioiog
and
brake
drum.
All
hydraulic
brakes
can
he
adjusted
without
re-
moval
or
the
wheels as all
brake
Hange
plates
have
opening!
with
removable
spring
soap
covers.
As
brakes
are
sctr-
energizing
through
energizing
links,
only
one
service ad.
justment
at
eaeb
wheel
cylinder
is
needed
.

up
wheel

remove
adjusting
bole
cover

Dange
plate.

bole

Hangc

it
in
teeth

adjusting
