turn
down
one

1000 miles.
The
distrihutor
cap
should be removed
every
5000
miles,
then
remove
rotor
and
apply
a small
amOUnL
of
pctroleum
jelly
on
distributor
cam
surface
by
hold.ing a
clean
cIOLh
soaked
in

lly
against
it
while
cranking SLaner.

drops of
engine
oil

the pivots of

axle
operates

the most severe
lubr

lion
conditions
at
high speeds, a
gear
lubricant
is required

will
satisfactorily
lubricate
hypoid
rear
axles.
Such
lubri
cants have been developed

to
as
uMuILi-Prupose"
gear
lubricants.
"Multi-Purpose"
gear
lubricants
must
be carefu

lubricant

CAUTION:

not

checking
lubricant
level,
the
unit
bein~
checked
should bc
at
operating
temperature
. \Vith unit
at
operating
tcmperature
the
lubricant
should be level with
bottom
of
the
filler
plug-
hole.
If
the
lubricant
is
checked
with
the
unit colo, the
lubricant
level should be 12 inch below
the
filler
plug
hole
.
Normally, seasonal
changes
of
the
rear
axle
lubricant
are
not
required
but
may
be
advisable in vehicles subject to
