CAUTION
•Whenstoppedonahill,usethebrakepedaltoholdyourposition.Donotusetheacceleratorpedal
toholdposition.
Tostopthevehicle,releasetheacceleratorpedalandpressthebrakepedalwithyourrightfootuntilthevehicle
comestoacompletestop.
PARKINGANDLEAVINGTHEVEHICLE
1.Afterstoppingthevehicle,rmlypresstheparkbrakepedaluntilitlocksandpreventsthevehiclefromrolling.

NOTE:Vehiclesequippedwithlights:Onearly2009modelgasolinevehicles,aftertheparkbrakeisengaged,the
brakelightsmayremainilluminatedforuptofourminutes.
2.TurnthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandplacetheForward/ReversehandleorswitchintheNEUTRAL
position.Removethekeywhenthevehicleisnotinuse.Forgasolinevehicles,alsoturnoffthefuelshut-off
valve(Figure24).
3.Electricvehiclesonly:WhentheTow/RunswitchisintheRUNposition,(withtheForward/Reverseswitchor
keyswitchinanyposition),thewalkawaybrakingfunctionwillpreventthevehiclefromrollingatmorethan1to3
mph(1.5to4.8km/h)unlesstheacceleratorispressed.Thispreventsthepossibilityofaparkedvehicle(with
theparkbrakedisengaged)rollingawaytoofasttobeovertakenonfoot.
TOWING
WARNING
•Donottowthevehicleonpublicstreetsorhighways.
•UseonlyapprovedClubCartowbars.
•TurnthekeyswitchtoOFFandplacetheForward/ReversehandleorswitchintheNEUTRALposition
beforetowingthevehicle.
•Electricvehiclesonly:PlacetheTow/RunswitchintheTOWposition;otherwise,thevehiclewill
notrollwhilebeingtowed.
•Extremecautionshouldbeusedwhentowinganyvehicle.
•Donotexceed5mph(8km/h)towingspeed.
•Donotallowpeopleinthevehiclesbeingtowed.
•Avoidsuddenstarts,suddenstops,andtightturnswhentowing.
•Avoidstoppingonahillwhentowing.Ifyoumuststoponahill,avoidsuddenstartsorrolling
backwardsandstoppingsuddenly.Failuretoheedthiswarningcouldcausethevehicletooverturn,
possiblyresultinginseverepersonalinjury.
•DonottowmorethanoneClubCarvehiclewithanotherClubCarvehicle.Ifmorethanonevehicle
mustbetowed,anadequatelypoweredvehicle(tractororfullsizedtruck)properlytted,withatow
hitchheightof11inches(28cm)shouldbeused.Onlyheavy-dutytowbarsshouldbeusedfor
multi-vehicletowing.Nevertowmorethanvevehiclesatonetime.
•Gasolinevehiclesonly:Turnthefuelshut-offvalvetoclosed(OFF)position(Figure24).
Alightdutytowbarisavailableforbreak-downtowingandsinglevehicletowing.Aheavydutytowbarandanonboard
towbarareavailableformulti-vehicletowing.ObserveallofthepreviousWARNINGstatementswhentowing.
