WARNING
•Foruseonpublicroads,thetrailermustmeetallfederal,state,andlocalrequirementssuchas
taillights,brakelights,etc.
•DonottowaClubCarvehiclebehindapassengervehicleortruckonapublicroadunlessitisonan
approvedtrailer.
•Thevehicletobetowedshouldbetiedsecurelytothetrailer,withtheForward/Reversehandleor
switchintheNEUTRALposition,thekeyswitchtheOFFposition,andtheparkbrakermlypressed
andlockedtopreventmovement.
•Donotallowpeopleinthetrailerorvehiclebeingtowed.
•Avoidsuddenstarts,suddenstops,andtightturnswhentowing.
•Avoidstoppingonahillwhentowing.Ifyoumuststoponahill,avoidsuddenstartsorrolling
backwardsandstoppingsuddenly.Failuretoheedthiswarningcouldcausethevehicletooverturn,
possiblyresultinginseverepersonalinjury.
•Whentowingonatrailer,normalroadspeedofthetowvehicleshouldbereduced.
•Becauseoftheaddedlengthofthetrailer,usecautionwhenmakingturns.
•Removethevehiclewindshieldandsecuretheseatbottombeforetransportingonatrailer.
•Gasolinevehiclesonly:Turnthefuelshut-offvalvetotheclosed(OFF)position(Figure24).
Ifthevehiclemustbetransportedoverlongdistancesoronpublichighways,itshouldbetransportedonanapproved
trailerthathastheapprovedloadratingof1200lb.(544kg)pervehiclebeingtransported.
NOTE:Atwo-cartrailershouldberatedat2x1200=2400lb.(2x544=1088kg).
