Drive Belt
NOTE:Severalcomponentsmustberemovedandspecialtoolsarerequiredinorder
toreplacethesnowthrower'sdrivebelt.ContactthenearestSearsParts& Repair
Centerto havethedrivebeltreplaced.
FrictionWheelRemoval
If thesnowthrowerfailstodrivewith thedrivecontrolengaged,andperforming
thedrivecontrolcableadjustmentfailstocorrecttheproblem,thefrictionwheel
mayneedto bereplaced.Followtheinstructionsbelow.Examinethefrictionwheel
rubberforsignsof wearorcrackingandreplacewheelif necessary.
1. Topreventspillage,removeallfuelfromtankbyrunningengineuntil it
stops.
2. Placetheshift leverinfirst Forward(F1)position.
3. Carefullypivotthesnowthrowerupandforwardsothat it restsontheauger
housing.
4. Removetheframecoverfromtheundersideofthesnowthrowerby
removingtheself-tappingscrewswhichsecureit.
5. Removetheright-handwheelbyremovingthescrewandbellwasherwhich
secureit totheaxle.SeeFigure31.
