• The e.sybox used as the Slave must have a rmware version of 4.00 or
more. In the case of e.sybox 30/50 it is always possible.
• The rmware version of the Master must be greater or the same as the
version of the Slave.
• It is necessary to have associated the devices with each other.
• If several e.sybox units have to be updated the procedure must be re-
peated each time.
Procedure
1. Associate the devices (see par. 7.5.5). A pop-up will appear on the
display of both e.sybox units saying:
Where in place of x.y the rmware version of the e.sybox will appear.
2. Press the [+] key on both machines.
3. Wait for the update to be successfully completed and for both ma-
chines to restart.
Problem solving
If the update has not been successful, the machine that you were trying to
update (Salve) goes into an inconsistent status which does not allow a new
automatic update. In this case the updating procedure must be performed
manually.
11.2.1.3 - Semiautomatic updating
Not contemplated in the case of e.sybox 30/50, while in the case of e.sy-
box the conditions below apply.
Requirements
• It is carried out between 2 e.sybox units at a time.
• The e.sybox used as the Master must have a rmware version of 4.00
or more.
• The e.sybox used as the Slave must have a rmware version of less
than 4.00.

Procedure
1. Associate the devices.
The e.sybox with the older rmware (Slave) will show the screen:

2. Press the [+] key on the Master machine (the one with rmware ver-
sion of 4.00 or more).
3. Switch off the electric power supply to the Slave e.sybox and wait for
the display to switch off.
4. On the Slave e.sybox, supply power by holding down simultaneously
the [MODE] and [-] keys until the update screen appears.
5. Wait for the update to be successfully completed and for both ma-
chines to restart.
