Loading Envelopes
To load envelopes in the multipurpose feeder, insert the envelopes with the flaps closed and the
short-edge of the envelopes facing into the printer. Orientate the print side facing down and slide
the envelopes into the entry slot. You can load envelopes up to the maximum fill line in the tray at
one time.
NOTE: Make sure to set the envelopes with the flaps completely closed.
NOTICE: Never use envelopes with windows, coated linings, or self-stick adhesives. These lead to
paper jams and damage to the printer.
After loading envelopes, make sure the size and type setting for the multipurpose feeder is set to
the correct value for the print media you have loaded. Select print media source, size, and type in
your software program and select the print media size and type on the printer operator panel.
