Remove the base cover.
Procedure
1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
2. Note the position of the rubber grommets before lifting the speakers.
3. Lift the right speaker by releasing the rubber grommets from the slots on the palm-rest assembly.
4. Lift the status-light board from the slot on the palm-rest assembly.
5. Note the cable routing and remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
6. Lift the left speaker by releasing the rubber grommets from the slots on the palm-rest assembly.
