Switch with the freezer door open.
There is continuity between pins 1 and 4.
There is no continuity between pins 1 and 3, 1 and 2.
Switch with the refrigerator door open.
There is continuity between pins 1 and 2.
There is no continuity between pins 1 and 3, 1 and 4.
2.5 Bimetal test
With the bimetal disconnected from the mains, using the digital multimeter set to the continuity scale to measure
the following points:
Bimetal wih closed contacts
The bimetal will show continuity between its terminals
if it is exposed to temperatures bellow -6°C, within a
variation of ± 4°C from that reference value.
Bimetal with open contacts
The bimetal will not show continuity between its
terminals if it is exposed to temperatures above +25°C,
within a variation of ± 3°C from that reference value.
