5.1. LIST OF FAULTS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
Table 5–1 – List of faults and correctives actions
DISPLAY CAUSE POSSIBLE ACTIONS
0 V
– The ground potential is
lower than - 0,05 V or
higher than 0,05 V.
– Connect a voltmeter between the Pt16 test
point and a screw used to settle the board on
the drawer bottom : check the measured value.
– Check correct operation of the + 5 V.
+5 V
– The power supply
delivers a voltage lower
than 4,8 V or higher
than 5,2 V.
– Connect a voltmeter between the Pt16 test
point (ground) and the Pt12 (+ 5V) test point:
check the measured value.
+15 V
– The power supply
delivers a voltage lower
than 14,50 V or higher
than 15,50 V.
– Connect a voltmeter between the Pt16
(ground) test point and the Pt13 (+ 15V) test
point : check the measured value.
-15 V
– The power supply
delivers a voltage lower
than - 15,50 V or higher
than - 14,50 V.
– Connect a voltmeter between the Pt16
(ground) test point and the Pt14 (- 15V) test
point : check the measured value.
Temperature
– At least, one of the
internal T°C
temperature or filter T°C
temperature exceeds
the acceptable intervals.
– The analyzer does not work under the normal
operating conditions.
– Check status of the temperature sensors and
change them if they are out of order.
Pressure
– At least, one of the
upstream pressure, or
downstream pressure or
atmospheric pressure
exceeds the acceptable
interval.
– In the screen « CALIBRATION
Pressures », check the A and B linearization
coefficients for the three sensors.
– The pump being off, check that the three
pressures are quite equal.
– Change the pressure sensor(s) if they are out
of order.
Gauge
– The Geiger-Müller tube
detector provides a
result lower than
1000 counts/s or higher
than 8500 counts/s.
– Check correct positioning of the filter ribbon.
– Check the power supply voltage (600 V).
– Check the positioning of the source in front of
paper. If the source is not correctly
positioned, check correct operation of the
positioning motor.
– If the motor does not work : check the + 15V
and - 15V voltages.
