3.9.7 Troubleshooting log file errors
When an SCL log file contains an ERROR entry, examine the CID file to find the source of the problem. The log contains
sufficient information to find and correct most minor problems. Note that the UR terminates the validation process on the
first occurrence of most errors. Thus fixing one error in a CID file can result in the UR detecting the next occurrence of the
same type of error. So when an error is found, determine if it is a single error or just the first occurrence of a systemic error.
As described in the Schema version used by UR/EnerVista
section on page 3-235, the CID file needs to be well-formed XML
that is valid according to the version of the IEC 61850 XML schema currently used by the UR.
When an SCL log file contains an INTERNAL ERROR entry, save the CID file and urscl.log file. Contact the GE information
and call center as outlined in the instruction manual.
3.10 G2 implementation model for GOOSE configuration via SCL
3.10.1 Introduction
This section specifies the G2 implementation model for configuring the publishing and subscription of GOOSE messages
using Substation Configuration Language (SCL) files compliant with IEC 61850 6:2009(E). For context, read the next section
(E3-2.0 implementation model).
GOOSE is a communication service defined in the standards and is used to connect virtually an output signal of a logical
node in one IED to an input of a logical node in another IED. In this section, the terms input and output are references to
signal inputs to and outputs of logical nodes. In the standards, input and output often refer to signals from the process to
an IED and from an IED to the process.
