Igniter Switch to "AUTO" / Room Temp Mode
In"RoomTempMode"heatoutputiscontrolledautomatically
bytheRoomSensingProbe.WhentheRoomSensingProbe
callsforheat,thestovewillincreaseoutput.WhentheRoom
SensingProbeisgettingclosetothesettemperature,the
stovewillbegintoleveloffoutputandkeepthereburning
atjusttherighttemperaturetomaintainthatsetting.
High output is determined by the feed rate setting. This
setting,generallyon#2(corn)or#4(pellet),canbeincreased
ifhigherburnratesarenecessary.
When burning corn the feed rate setting can be adjusted
anywherewithintheyellowrangewitha#3settingbeingthe
maximumsetting,#1thelowestsetting.Thissettingwillvary
dependingonthequalityofcornused.
Whenburningpelletsthefeedratesettingcanbeadjusted
withinthefullrangebetween#1onthelowsideto#6onthe
highside.
Overfeeding is not a safety concern, but the re may be
pushedofftheburnpotandextinguishintheashpan.
In"RoomTempMode"aconstantfuelconsumptionrateis
sacricedforexactroomtemperature.Therefore,asitgets
coldermorefuelwillbeburnedautomatically.
The distribution blower speed will vary according to the
positionofthemodeselectorpointer,andresize.
Igniter Switch to "AUTO" / Stove Temp Mode
Thisallowsforautomaticignitionuponstart-uponly.Theunit
canthenbesetatanydesiredsetting.Theheatoutputand
fuel consumption will remain constant regardless of room
temperature.
Theunit'slowburnormaintenancesettingisaslowasitwill
go.Itwillnotgooutunlessitrunsoutoffueloristurnedoff.
Shut-Down Procedure
To kill the re or stop burning the stove, turn the Mode
Selectorto "OFF".Thiswillcausetheretodiminish and
burnout.Whenthereburnsoutandthestovecoolsdown
everythingwillstop.NOTE: The combustion blower motor
will be the last component to stop. Thisinsuresthatall
fuel in the burnpot and ashes located in the ash pan are
completelycoldbeforeshutdownofthecombustionmotor.
Ifyoupulltheplugtoshutdownthestove,allmotorswillstop.
Thismaycauseincompletecombustionandsmokeinthe
rebox.Iftheloaddoorisopenedthesmokemayescape.
Thebestwaytoshutdownthestoveistosimplyletitrunout
offuel,thenthestovewillshutdownautomatically.
ThePC45corn/pelletstoveis morethanjustautomaticignition,itisalso automatictemperature
control.Theautomaticsystemwillallowtheresizetobeadjustedtomatchtheheatingneedsand
evenputthereoutifnecessary.Ifheatisneededafterthereisout,thePC45willautomatically
re-igniteandadjusttheresizetomatchtheheatingneed.Thetotallyautomaticroomsensormode
isrecommendedbecauseofitsefciency.Theunitcanbeswitchedbetween"AUTO"and"MANUAL"
atanytimeduringoperation.
