Cleaning of Feeder Fines Area (Fig. 36)
1. Removetherearshieldstoaccessthefeedercover.
2. Removethewingnutonthefeedercoverandslidethe
coveroffthethreadedrod.
3. Removeallneswithavacuum.
4. Replacethefeedercoverandrearshields.

5. Removetheashpan.
6. Remove the combustion blower cover by turning the
blower cover latch vertical as shown in Fig. 32. Slide
thecoveroutoftheslotontheleft.Thiswillexposethe
combustionblowerwheelandueoutlet.Fig.33.
7. Clean the blower wheel with a brush and a vacuum
cleaner.
Soot and Fly Ash
Formation and Need For Removal- The products of
combustion will contain small particles of y ash. The y
ashwillcollect in the exhaust venting system and restrict
theowoftheuegases.Incompletecombustion,suchas
occursduring startup, shutdown, or incorrect operation of
theroomheater,willleadtosomesootformationwhichwill
collectintheexhaustventingsystem.Theexhaustventing
systemshouldbeinspectedaftertherstmonthofburning
todeterminethefrequencyofcleaningthatwillberequired,
andatleastyearlythereafter.NOTE:Thefrequencycould
varyfromonceamonthtoonceaseasondependingonthe
qualityofthefuelbeingused.
IfYouExperienceAChimneyFire;DoNOTdisconnectpower
totheappliance.DoNOTputwateronthere.
TurntheselectordialtotheOFFpositionandallowtheunit
toshutdownonits'own.Havetheapplianceandventing
systemprofessionallyinspectedandcleanedpriortousing.
