3. Remove the battery upper cover (3).
4. Disconnect battery breather tube (4).
5. Disconnect the negative (–) terminal
lead (5) from the battery first, then
disconnect the positive (+) terminal
lead (6).
6. Remove the battery (7).

FUSE REPLACEMENT
Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 44.
When frequent fuse failure occurs, it usually
indicates a short circuit or an overload in
the electrical system. See your Honda dealer
for repair.
NOTICE
Never use a fuse with a different rating from
that specified. Serious damage to the
electrical system or a fire may result,
causing a dangerous loss of lights or engine
power.
