Repair or replace the wire.
Stop the engine and check the charge
coil air gap (0.3 ~ 0.5 mm) (P. 9 - 6

Charge the battery for 24 hours using
06320-VH7-UA2 charger. Allow to rest for
1 hour and retest.
Check battery connections (P. 11 - 27 ).
With the engine running, check the
charge coil output current (P. 2-16
).
Start the engine and verify the speed is
2950 ~ 3100 rpm (P. 3 - 21
).
Replace the ignition/charge coil (P. 9 - 2 ).
Reset the air gap to 0.3 mm and
check the charge coil output.
More than 0.5 mm
Less than 0.23 A
OK
Inspect the charge wire (red).
Replace the fuse.
NG
With the engine running, remove and
check the 3 A fuse (P. 11 - 2 8
).
OK
Replace the battery.
