Installing with a Back Box (ceiling or wall mount)
Note Using the back box (not supplied) is optional for mounting the
HD5 in the ceiling or wall. The HD5 can be directly mounted to
the ceiling or wall. If you are installing the HD5 directly into the
ceiling or wall, go to Setting Up the Camera on page 24.
Note Your local state regulations might require that all wiring be
contained within a metal box. If you have a BNC connection,
then you might require a Back Box Extender Kit to gain
additional space to contain the coiled wires. Contact
Honeywell Customer Service to order (see the back cover for
contact information).
Note If the back box is already installed, go to step 7 on page 23.
1. Cut a 4¼" x 4¼" hole in the ceiling using the square template (found in
packing box)
2. Attach the winged bracket to the back box.
Note This step may already be done.
3. Pull the field-run camera power and video coaxial cable through one
of the knockouts in the back box (not supplied). You need 6 inches of
slack cable from the back box to the dome camera so you can easily
make the connections.
