Interrupting
Your
Program
Using
As
you
know,
the
(run/stop)
function
can
be used
either
as
an
instruction
in
a
program
or
pressed
from
the
keyboard.
When
pressed
from
the
keyboard:
1.
If
a
program
is
running,
stops
the
program.
2. If
a
program
is
stopped
or
not
running,
and
the
calculator
is
in
RUN
mode,
starts
the
program
running
beginning
with
the
current
location
in
program
memory.
When
executed
as
an
instruction
during
a
running
program,
stops
program
execution
after
its
step
of
program
memory.
If
is
then
pressed
from
the
keyboard,
execution
begins with
the
current
step
of
program
memory.
(When
is
pressed,
the
step
number
and
keycode
of
that
current
step
are
displayed—when
released,
execution
begins
with
that
step.)
You
can
use
these
features
of
the
instruction
to
stop
a
running
program
at
points
where
you
want
to
key
in
data.
After
the
data
has
been
keyed
in,
restart
the
program
using
the
key
from
the
keyboard.
Example:
The
following
program
lets
you
key
in
a
percentage
discount
and
calculates
the
cumulative
cost
of
various
quantities
of
differently
priced
items
from
which
the
discount
has
been
subtracted.
