The

a
flag
that
is
set
for
data
entry
and
cleared
upon
test.
These
features
of
this
flag
can
be used
for
interchangeable
solutions
in
a
program.
Example:
The
program
below
calculates
the
distance
(d),
speed
(s),
or
time
()
for
a
moving
body
according
to
the
following
formulas:

Given
any
two
of
the
quantities

s,
and

the
program
will
calculate
the
third.
The
program
uses
the

decide
whether
to store
a
quantity
away
or
to
use
pre-
viously
stored
quantities
for
calculation.
If
you
recorded
the
program
on
a
magnetic
card,
the
card
might
look
like
this:

desired

decision
to store
or
to

is
made
depending
upon
whether
the
data
entry
flag,
flag

is
set
or
cleared.
