In
scientific
notation
each
number
is
displayed
with
a
single
digit
to
the
left
of
the
decimal
point
followed
by
a
specified
number
of
digits
(up
to
nine)
to
the
right
of
the
decimal
point
and
multiplied
by
a
power
of
10.
Scientific
notation
is
particularly
useful
when
working
with
very
large
or
small
numbers.

Scientific
Notation
Display
Scientific
notation
is
selected
by
pressing
&
(5¢1).
The
EEJ
key
followed
by
a
digit
key
is
then
used
to
specify
the
number
of
decimal
places
to
which
the
number
is
rounded.
The
display
is
left-justified
and
includes
trailing
zeros
within
the
setting
selected
by
the
key.
To
change
the
number
of
places
displayed
after
the
decimal
point,
use
the
EEE
key
followed
by
the
appropriate
number
key.
For
example:
Press
Display
(Turn
the
calculator
OFF,
then
ON.)

‘‘wakes
up”’
with
two
places
displayed
after
the
decimal
point.
