Description of Consumables
Shielded Shielded nozzle allows the torch tip to be dragged directly on the workpiece.
Gouging For metal removal without cutting. Use for weld removal or setup. Nozzle
shield may be placed directly on the workpiece.
Non-Shielded
Extended For increased visibility and access for special applications. The nozzle is not
shielded. Maintain a torch-to-work distance of approximately 1/8" (3 mm) when
cutting above 40A to avoid accelerated consumable parts wear.
In the
European community, do not use the non-shielded extended consumables with
the hand torch.
