Thisisa3positionkey:
1 STOP(keycanberemoved)
2 KEY
3 RUN
InSTOPpositionthebatteryisdisconnectedandtheenginestopsignalissenttothe
electronicbox.
InKEYpositionthebatteryisconnectedtothesystemandthestopsignalisremoved.
In RUN position the battery is always connected and the electric starter, operation
signalissenttotheelectronicbox.
ATTENTION:
Thestartingkeyassemblyissuppliedwithtwooriginalkeys.Werecommendto
separatet he keysand to keepone in aprotected place.Incase of lossofboth
keys,itisnecessarytoreplacethecompleteassembly.
Thestartingprocedure,fromSTOPposition,isasfollows:
A) TurnthekeytoKEYposition(thisconnectthebattery).
B) TurnthekeytoRUNpositiontostarttheengine(theelectricstarterisimmediately
disengaged when turning the key to KEY position, or when the electronic box
detectsanengineRPMhigherthan1500RPM).
C) Whentheengineisrunning,thekeycanbeleftbothintheRUNorKEYposition.We
suggest, for pratical reasons, to turn the key to KEY position; this allows with a
singletrippingtostoptheengine(STOPposition)ortorestartitincasetheengineis
stopped(RUNposition).
Note:
incasetheengineisstoppedwiththekeyinRUNposition,torestartit,tu rnt he
keytoKEYpositionandthenagaintoRUNpositiontoactivatetheelectricstarter.
With the key in KEY or RUN position and if the engine is stopped, to start the
engineanexternalstarterunitcanalsobeused.
Incase theenginecannotbestartedwithin5seconds(checkthatgasgetstothe
carb.) interrupt and tryagain after15 seconds.Short andfrequent triesare better
thanlongones.
TostoptheengineturnthekeytoSTOPpositionbothfromKEY(1tripping)orfromRUN
(2trippings).
