§ In case the electrolite (diluted Sulfuric acid) gets in contact with skin or clothes,
immediately wash with water. In case it gets in touch with eyes, wash and apply for
medicalassistance.
§ Carefully check the external case of battery and replace in case of breakages,
swellingsofthecaseorofbatterycover.
§ Beforeuse,cleanthebatteryfromdustandcheckthattheterminalsarenotoxidyzed
ordamaged.
§ When the battery comes to an end never throw it in the garbage but deliverit to an
authorizeddisposer.
14 WARNINGSONTHEELECTRICALSYSTEM

Pleasekeepthisinmindduringthewholelifeoftheengine.
ATTENTION:
If these prescriptions are not followed the electrical system and the eng ine
couldbedamagedbeyondrepair.NoobligationofIAMEexistsinthiscase.
1) PleaseturnthekeytoSTOPpositioneverytimetheengineisstopped.Ifthekeyis
leftinKEYposition,foralongtime,eveniftheengineisstopped,thebatterywould
bedischargedcompletely.
2) Neverdisconnectthegroundcableswitheyeletswhentheengineisinoperation.
3) DisconnectingthebatterywhentheengineisinoperationDOESNOTincreasethe
engineperformance.Viceversa,theignitionadvancecouldbecomeveryirregular
atlowRPMthusreducingtheperformance.
4) Tofastentheeyeletterminal(groundings)ofthewiringharnessalwaysuseflator
openwashers.Neverusetabwashers.
5) Whendisconnectingtheconnectors,alwayspressthefixingtongues.Alwayspull
theconnectorstodisconnect.NEVERPULLTHECABLES.
6) The electronic box and the starting relay must always be installed with their
connector towards the bottom to avoid back water, dampness or dirt in the
connectorbody.
7) AlwayscorrectlyfixtheH.T.coilwithbothscrews,makesurethatthelaminations
packonH.T.coilisconnectedtotheenginewiththegroundingcable.Theeyelet
connectormustbedirectlyincontactwiththelaminationspackontheH.T.coil.
8) NeveruseH.T.coilsdifferentthantheoriginalcoilontheengine.Useofdifferent
coilmaycausedamagestotheelectronicbox.
