Document # DOC180
Issued: August 16, 2010

e face of the agent ll station contains three displays (liquid/moisture indicator, inlet pressure gauge,
discharge pressure gauge) and three controls (selector control knob, pump control knob, agent/nitrogen
selection knob). ese displays and controls are described below. Refer to the manual provided with the
agent ll station for more information on any of these features.
3.6.1 Fill Station Displays
e liquid/moisture indicator is used to verify a liquid agent ow through the ll station pump. e inlet
pressure gauge displays the pressure on the agent supply tank side of the ll station pump. e discharge
pressure gauge displays the pressure on the cylinder ll side of the ll station pump.
3.6.2 Selector Control Knob
e selector control knob changes the direction of ow for the ll station. Setting this knob to "systems
cylinder" directs the ow toward the cylinder ll hose. Setting the knob to "recovery cylinder" directs
the ow toward the agent supply tank hose. Setting the selector control knob to "o" places the pump
in a neutral position, stopping the ow to either direction. e selector control knob shall be set to "o"
whenever connecting or disconnecting the agent supply tank hose or cylinder ll hose.
3.6.3 Pump Control Knob
e pump control knob is utilized to adjust the speed of the ll station pump. Turning the knob clockwise
increases the speed and turning the knob counterclockwise decreases the speed. e pump control knob
shall be set to "o" whenever connecting or disconnecting the agent supply tank hose or cylinder ll hose.
3.6.4 Agent/Nitrogen Selection Knob
e agent/nitrogen selection knob changes the ll station pump from agent ll mode to nitrogen ll mode.
e recommended ll procedure as detailed in this manual does not utilize the agent ll station for nitrogen
therefore the agent/nitrogen selection knob should remain set to "liquid HFC-227" throughout the course
of the ll procedure.
