10 Installation
Sincethe Tron TR30 canbe suppliedas aGMDSS or a Maritime VHF radio andeachradio uses a
different battery, ensureyou installthebatteriesappropriately.
Followingthe applicableinstallationprocess according to thebattery you willuse;either the
emergency battery or the rechargeable battery.
The Emergency battery shouldonly be installedon the GMDSS radio inthe
event of anemergency.
10.1 Upon receipt of the radio
Upon receipt of theradio,do thefollowing:
1. Connect theantenna.
When assembling theantennato theradio, ensure you hold it at the
base whileturning it clockwise.When theantenna starts to resist
turning, turn it another 90 degrees.
Holding theantennaanywhere but at thebase duringassembly will
damage it.
