3.5 When an error (LA recognition error, tombstone error or
irregularly-shaped component error) occurs
Error screen Causes of the error
An error occurs if the value specified in a
production program is different from the value
measured with laser.
Tombstone error
Irregularly shaped component error
LA (laser) retry over error
Component pick-up error
How to handle an error
Tombstone error (available if you check the “Yes” radio button of the menu item “Tombstone” on the
“Inspection” tab invoked from the “Component data” screen)
Irregularly shaped component error (available if you check the “Yes” radio button of the menu item
“Dimension check” on the “Inspection” tab invoked from the “Component” data screen.)
Component posture error
Component pick-up position error (available if you check the “Yes” radio button of the menu item “Pick
Position Detection” on the “Inspection” tab invoked from the “Component data” screen)
Error occurrence timing Check and corrective action
Check to see if components are set correctly.
Immediately after
components are replenished
Teach the component pick-up position again to check to see if it is correct.
Review the height of a component specified on the “Component” data screen.
During normal PWB
production
Clean the nozzles.

depending on which error
has occurred.
