5 Maintenance
Use of maintenance products that are harmful to health and dis-
charge of liquids during maintenance program. Harmful if swal-
lowed. Irritating to eyes and skin.
T Keep children AWAY.
T Keep children away from the machine while it is performing a
maintenance program.
T Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
T Avoid generation of dust. Do not inhale dust.
T When using do not eat or drink.
T Keep maintenance products away from food, drink and ani-
mal food.
T Keep container tightly closed and dry. Keep in a cool place.
Your GIGA has the following integrated maintenance programs:

Rinsing the coffee system (‘Rinse the coffee system’)
U
Rinsing the milk system in the dual spout (‘Rinse the milk
system’)
U
Cleaning the milk system in the dual spout (‘Clean the milk
system’)
U
Changing the filter (‘Change the filter’)
U
Cleaning the machine (‘Clean’)
U
Descaling the machine (‘Descale’) (only if filter is not acti-
vated)
E Clean or descale the machine, rinse the milk system or change
the filter when you are prompted to do so.
E Press the P button to view a list of the maintenance programs
(‘Maintenance status (1/5)’). By referring to the bar you can see
ho
w soon each maintenanc
e program is due. When the bar is
completely filled with red, your GIGA will prompt you to per-
form the maintenance program.
E The GIGA will not prompt you to clean the milk system. In the
interests of hygiene, you should clean the milk system daily
when you have been preparing milk.
